We had a great turnout of parents/grandparents at the Kirk service and the children participated well, making it a pleasant and relaxed place to be in.
After the service, the retiring collection brought in £92, which when added to last year's money should give us the opportunity to help a child in South America, by sponsoring them for one year through World Vision.
Should you wish to do the same then follow the web address provided below:
https://www.worldvision.org.uk/server/show/nav.29
It really does make a difference to a child or family out there, and every donation can help. We look forward to telling you a bit more about the child we are sponsoring.
Can I take the opportunity of wishing you and your loved ones A Merry Christmas & A Happy New Year!

On Thursday, 20th December 2007. at 1.15pm, we will be holding our Christmas Service. As usual we would like to invite everyone who would like to, to attend. We'd like to finish off the year together amongst the community and we can't think of a better way of doing it than by sharing our carols and thoughts with you!
Our Service will be approximately one hour long, however we would ask anyone with children in P1/2/3 classes to collect them from the school after the Service.

The Nativity Performance
Weren't they good?!! We were delighted to see so many people turning out today in the Melvin Hall, on what was a bitterly cold morning. The children managed to heat us up with their lovely singing and their 'on the stage' antics. No one can ever predict the outcome of these Nativities, and I've been going to them for thirty years!!
What's bound to appeal is the children's participation at an age when they are still not aware of themselves on stage. This of course often leads to some wonderful moments for the audience.
I'm sure, that if you attended today, you'll have those moments etched into your brain for many years to come!
Thanks to everyone for making it a success and to the children themselves for all their hard work.
